Why is my bill higher than the estimated invoice?
Price comparison tools estimate your monthly bill based on your past electricity consumption linked to your Point de Livraison (PDL) and the electricity prices that applied during the same period. This estimate may differ from your actual bill for several reasons:
- Higher consumption: you may have used more electricity compared to the same period last year.
- Price changes: electricity prices may have increased due to market conditions, new regulations, or taxes.
- Seasonality: in winter, both consumption and prices tend to be higher, while they are usually lower in summer. Over the year, these variations balance out, helping to distribute costs more evenly and make savings more noticeable.
